Wiley Krapf is Director of the U.S. Department and a senior consultant for JXD Law Firm. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a J.D. degree in 1985 and earned LL.M. degrees, with honors, in International Business and Trade Law (2006) and Intellectual Property Law (2007) from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. From 1985 to 1993, Mr. Krapf was a litigation attorney in Chicago representing commercial clients including banking, mortgage and insurance companies and hospitals. From 1993 to 2002 he served as a senior official with the municipal government of the City of Chicago in the areas of procurement, budget and finance. From 2002 to 2005, he was General Counsel and Director of the Legal Department of CIT Services, a firm in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Krapf is currently a guest lecturer in U.S. law at the East China University of Political Science and Law. He is well-experienced in the fields of incorporation of foreign companies, reorganization, IPR, franchise, FDI and M&A. He provides legal consulting services on company law, intellectual property, cross-border transactions and bankruptcy to foreign-invested companies in China.
